Men’s Health

For a time now women’s health has been of concern to our country and the World at large. Recently a study conducted by the Government shows a high percentage of men malnourished and their health at risk. Creating awareness is half way preventing diseases.

That said, healthy living is important across all genders despite the research showing big gaps between men and women. 2019 is the year of taking care of yourself and finding out how you can live a healthy and wealthy lifestyle.

Change is inevitable but men rarely change their habits. Sometimes it is up to the women in their  lives to take an extra mile of pushing them to do regular check ups and help prevent health problems. The kind of choices women help them make will create a huge impact in their current life and years to come.

It is not surprising at all to find out that most men do not de-worm. It is the responsibility of the women in their lives to keep reminding them and providing them with the necessary deworming tips and how to go about it. The same can be said about visiting a dentist. Visiting a dentist at least twice a year is important as it will reduce the chances of having one’s tooth painfully removed.

Unfortunately most men believe if it makes you lie in the hospital bed then that’s a serious disease. They tend to act manly by not doing regular check ups thinking they are healthy and kicking. Whether very sick or not, it is advisable to do routine checkups, screenings and dental examination so as to keep track of your health and save your life.

It is also important to learn and know your family’s medical history and changes that your body experiences earlier before it is late. The rate at which some men die – either due to depression, lack of regular check ups or other health related issues – is wanting.

Most men never like sharing what they are going through. Sometimes depression gets the better of them and that brings us to this statement, “Men are at high risk of committing suicide compared to women simply because they don’t seek help during the early stages.” We can all do away with this statement if men gather the courage to at least share what they go through or try out other forms of healing such as meditation, massage and even yoga – If you manage it, you can concur it!

It is also necessary to check your daily diet. Most bachelors don’t care about what they eat and hence a high number of malnourished and under weight men. While at it, make water your daily number one drink.

Drink lots of water, a bit of whole grains and some fiber to keep your health at a good pace. Avoid alcohol as much as possible. Don’t start using drugs to replace alcohol. There is no need trying to stop being an addict. Simply make a decision to stop and you’re good to go. This can be easily done by distracting yourself by either going to the gym, joining a zumba or yoga class and, walking or jogging in your neighbourhood. Basically try and find what else you can do best.

Let 2019 be that year you’re all about good vibes and good health.
