Why You Should Find Your Passion in Life

Why You Should Find Your Passion in Life

Stop looking for a job just find your passion in life.

“Passion is energy. Feel the power that comes from focusing on what excites you.” —Oprah Winfrey.

“Always follow your passion.” You are told. Sounds too cliche but believe in what passion can do to your life. Do you know why I also insist on encouraging friends to follow their passion? I have heard and testified thousands of passion do-ers achieve a lot more compared to working in a field you do not like at all.

Finding your passion and following your passion makes you feel alive again. Life can mean totally nothing and prove to be useless if you are not passionate about anything. When you do what you love, you get that sense of fulfillment and belonging. You meet people with the same passion, share ideas, learn and explore new ways of doing things.

With passion, you learn what your purpose in life is. Some people go complaining they don’t have or know their passion and yet they are not willing to try out most of the things they claim they love doing. Actually by doing the little things that make you excited, within that, lies your passion.

What excites you most, draws all your attention. You are so ready and willing to sacrifice your time, money and sometimes even your own life to just get it done. Then that is your passion and absolute purpose in life.

Bishop T.D. Jakes says. “If you can’t figure out your purpose, figure out your passion. For your passion will lead you right into your purpose.”

If you ask someone who was once an employee and now has started his/her company he or she will proudly advise you to follow your passion. There are some things you don’t need to hear more than twice because research itself got enough evidence to back it up.

Wanda Sykes says, “If you feel like there’s something out there that you’re supposed to be doing, if you have a passion for it, then stop wishing and just do it.” And in my own words, I say, If you think about it, and your mind says yes we can do this, don’t even wait for a second thought. If it was a first Yes, Start there and then.

This is the only proven fuel to drive you through your startup process without cutting off its supply. Meaning, you will reach your final destination, you just need to keep the passion blazing. As Jon Bon Jovi said, “Nothing is as important as passion. No matter what you want to do with your life, be passionate.”

I want to encourage a startup who’s confused and torn in between that job offer and that startup that has currently not picked and has shown no signs of picking up.  Simply change your perception and approach to your passion. At the end, you will reap good fruits.

Still at it, do not entertain negative energy from anyone. Learn the art of being persistent, consistent and patient.

“You have to be burning with an idea, or a problem, or a wrong that you want to right. If you’re not passionate enough from the start, you’ll never stick it out.” —Steve Jobs
